Regulatory Czar Pushes Plan for Legally Controlling Internet Information
link
I'm going to look into this more because it really bothers me that all of a sudden the Democrats are all about controlling the web and getting all big brother about it when that has typically been the role of the Republican.
See, I know both parties have been sold to the corporations, banks, and defense contractors, but I still want them to at least try and seem like they have a clue how a democratic republic operates to foil corruption, not establish corruption as SOP.
Just like the idiotic carbon swap scheme to "deal with global warming," controlling the web for corporate interests over those of the people is a violation of free speech, equal access, and possibly anti-trust laws. We've had this version of the web for almost 20 years, and if you take a poll of web users, a corporate/government alliance for controlling the web would be opposed by everyone who didn't stand to profit like maddogs from it.
The FCC needs to set up guidelines that keep the web free and open and easily accessible by anyone who wants to use it, not just corporations and their on-line consumers.
