Deleting Jefferson: More ignorance from Gov Rick Perry re: the Texas School Board's recent whitewashing of history books

Rick Perry is having Thomas Jefferson removed from history books in Texas. His reasoning that Jefferson didn't do anything in his life that made a difference in the lives of Americans. He is either insane or fast becoming so due to constant drug use which has apparently whittled his tiny brain into something resembling a rabbit turd.

My email to Gov. Perry was as follows:

To Governor Rick Perry

Last week the Texas State Board of Education, led by your appointee for chair, Gail Lowe, voted to remove Thomas Jefferson from social studies standards.

Really? Are you serious? Are so stoned that part of your brain has atrophied? Should you should be drug tested?

Thomas Jefferson is the single most important founding father of them all. He wrote the Declaration of Independence (that's this big important letter to the king of England at the time declaring that we were no longer the colonies of England, and that we were now our own country of free men!); he helped frame the constitution (obviously this is a document you have never read but had read to you--probably just like the bible); he helped to define the wall of separation that you GOP christians pretend doesn't exist. And he has said in many different ways that when the govt puts the will of banks and corporations ahead of the will of the people, then the people should revolt---oooooh, that's why you don't want him in there. He spoke against the very things YOU and your party stand for. He inspires people to fight the good fight and that's exactly what you and your gang don't want.

You will lose on this issue so hard core it will cost you the election, even if you still have some of those Diebold voting machines Bush used.

You sir, are un-American! From your drunken anti-American act of sedition in the form of those 'secession' comments last year, to removing this country's greatest patriot from history books--you are clearly so out of touch with what 'American' means that you are no longer capable of thinking the thoughts of a clear, rational mind.

As such, I demand you be removed from the office of Texas governor immediately. If you ever were fit to hold that office (and your track record casts doubt on that statement), you most certainly no longer are, and with your ordering of the removal of Jefferson from Texas school books, you, sir, have committed an act of treason against the people of the United States.

How dare you, sir?!?! This is not some minor SNAFU you can hire publicists to fix for you. You will take this monumental error to your grave with you. When you are on your deathbed, this will be the main thought that haunts you--that you wish you could change.

If you are any sort of honorable man at all, Gov. Perry, you will resign immediately and beg the people's of this country forgiveness, though that is something you clearly don't deserve. Get out now, while you are merely an embarrassment. The longer you wait, the worse off it will be for you and anyone who still cares about you.

Save face! Correct this uneducated, unsophisticated, career killing decision immediately, then fade into the well deserved obscurity you have so richly commanded. And may god have mercy on your dark soul.

  1. Just in case it's not apparent, I was having a little fun at Perry's expense.
